ABS Case Society

The ABS Case Society presents an extracurricular training programme to practice consulting and managerial skills and to prepare students for case competitions. Second-year BSc students can participate in this integrated 6-month programme of training modules and competitions throughout the academic year.

Going beyond literature and course work, the Case Society focuses on the development of practical skills that are pivotal in a professional career. The ABS Case Society is also a community with active members who come together and share mutual interests in consultancy.

Who is it for?

We are looking for second-year BSc students who are ambitious, analytically strong, curious, as well as those who have a team spirit and genuinely want to work on their personal development.

What do we offer?

As part of the ABS Case Society, you:

  • develop business, communication, and teamwork skills through a series of weekly workshops, case practices, as well as case competitions;
  • get involved in real-life business problems, work together towards a common goal, and network with other students and business partners;
  • receive an official certificate from the Amsterdam Business School and Your Future First of the University of Amsterdam.

Case Competitions

We organise multiple internal case competitions, during which you practice problem-solving skills. Members who demonstrate excellent case-solving skills can be selected to represent the Amsterdam Business School at international competitions.

In block 5 of academic year 2021-2022 there are new opportunities to join the Case Society. Information will follow soon.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Pepijn van Neerijnen.
