How do I find an internship?

Here are some possibilities to find an internship, all of which require a proactive attitude. In order to get an idea of what exactly you are looking for, you could first:

  • You can ask family members, friends, colleagues and alumni (via to help you explore the possibilities. They will undoubtedly know people that you do not yet know and who can help you move forward.
  • Think about what kind of organisation appeals to you: a research institute, an NGO, a commercial company, a start-up, etc. Alternatively, consider what types of subjects and fields appeal to you most.
  • Take a look at different career sites and UvA jobboard

Please note that there are additional requirements for non-EU/EEA students.
